Put Your Life in God's Hands!

“When you find yourself caught in a web of unanswerable “whys,” imagine your problems as a convoluted mass of yarn with such tangles that you could never straighten it out.

“Then imagine yourself dropping the tangles of your life into God’s hands and leaving them there, knowing God alone can untangle the threads of our lives.”
… Barbara Johnson

I want to share this video by Michael English,"He Didn't Throw the Clay Away".

It will help you to understand the beauty of what happens when you place your life in God's hands and leave everything to Him.

And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.
Jeremiah 18:4

But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.
Isaiah 64:8

Have You Fallen Down?

Do you feel like you have failed?
Are you feeling overwhelmed?

Have you fallen down in your spiritual life?

Is your walk with Jesus not as strong today as it was when you first began your walk with Him?

Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up!

We are humans, subject to failure, and our adversary, the devil, is trying to destroy us.
1 Peter 5:8

“… I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail.”
Luke 22:32

When King David sinned and failed, he cried out to God.
“O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer! From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety.”
Psalm 61:1,2 NLT

“Let all that I am, wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.”
Psalm 62:5,6 NLT

When you sin and feel like giving up, cry out to God, who is your salvation. Get back up and continue your walk with Jesus. He will forgive you and give you strength.

Created By God!

You are not an accident.

Your birth was no mistake or mishap, and your life is no fluke of nature. Your parents may not have planned you, but that doesn’t mean God didn’t plan you. He works even through human error and failings, and he was not surprised by your birth; in fact, he expected it.

It is not fate, nor chance, nor luck, nor coincidence that you are breathing at this very moment. You are alive because God wanted to create you!

The Bible says, “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me.”
Psalm 138:8 (NIV)

God prescribed every single detail of your body. He deliberately chose your race, the color of your skin, your hair, and every other feature. He custom-made your body just the way He wanted it. He also determined the natural talents you would possess and the uniqueness of your personality.

“You know me inside and out, You know every bone in my body. You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.”
Psalm 139:15 (The Message)

Because God made you for a reason, He also decided when you would be born and how long you would live. He planned the days of your life in advance, choosing the exact time of your birth and death.

“You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in Your Book!”
Psalm 139:16 (LB)

God never does anything accidentally, and He never makes mistakes. He has a reason for everything He creates. Every plant and every animal was planned by God for a purpose, and every person was designed with a purpose in mind, too. God’s motive for creating you is His love.

“Long before He laid down earth’s foundations, He had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of His love, to be made whole and holy by his love.”
Ephesians 1:4 (The Message)

Copied from Rick Warren’s book, “What on Earth Am I Here For?”
I recommend reading his entire book. It is excellent!

Call Out To God!

Maybe you feel that everything around you is crashing down and you find yourself calling out to God for help.

But maybe you’re not sure that God hears you, because you don’t feel that He loves you.

Knowing that God loves us comes by faith; feeling His love for us comes by relationship.

God created us in His image to have emotions, so the longing to feel loved and safe is legitimate and good.

One way that many of us sense we’re loved is when someone talks with us and listens to us. It comes when we feel that we have made a connection.

God provides our needs in the relationship we have with Him. He speaks through His Word to our heart and He wants us to pour out our heart to Him about everything, even our longing to feel His love.

Prayer is so simple. It’s like quietly opening a door and slipping into the very presence of God. There is the stillness to listen to His voice, perhaps to petition or only to listen. It matters not, just to be there in His Presence, is prayer.

Besides allowing us to have a personal relationship with Him, He daily gives us our breath, clothing, food, and shelter. Like the psalmist, we can find Him to be our “rock” and “refuge” as we trust Him.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12

“Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” Psalm 62:8

“He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” Psalm 62:2,7

Memorial Day Tribute

I saw my grandson today who was discharged from the Army a few months ago and I put my arms around him giving him a big hug. So many grandparents, moms and dads, wives or husbands and children never get that chance, because their soldier did not come home.

I thank God for my grandson’s protection. He enlisted in early 2003 and soon went to Iraq. He had two tours there and one in Afghanistan. He had some very close calls and saw many of his buddies die. God brought him home safely.

As we think about the 3-day weekend holiday, Memorial Day, let us remember what the holiday means. It is a time to remember those who have sacrificed their lives for your freedom and for my freedom. It is for those soldiers who fought to keep America free in both our generation and generations past.

It is a time to pay tribute to them. It is a time to give praise to God for American.

This video shows the powerful emotions of war. Please watch. First turn off my Playlist at bottom of page.

Have a good week-end.

Joy In His Presence!

I come not to ask, to plead, or implore You.
I just come to tell you how much I adore You.

For to kneel in Your presence makes me feel blest,
And I know that You know all my needs best.

And it fills me with joy just to linger with You
As my soul You replenish and my heart You renew.

For prayer is much more than just asking for things.
It’s the peace and contentment that quietness brings.

So thank You again for Your mercy and love,
And for making me heir to Your kingdom above.

by Helen Steiner Rice

I have found that the most important desire in my life is to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit. I stand in His presence and weep, because He is so awesome. They are not tears of sorrow or frustration, but tears of joy and adoration. His presence is so sweet and so close.

“Your presence is fullness of joy.”
Psalm 16:11

I pray, “O Lord never take Your presence from me. I can do without many things in life, but without Your presence I would cease to live.”

"Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms."
Psalm 95:2

"You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence."
Acts 2:28

He desires that you invite His presence into your heart.

Someone Is Praying For You

Somewhere someone's praying
Down upon their knees,

Lifting you before the Throne
With love and gentle pleas.

Asking God to give you strength
To face another day,

And when the night is darkest
Shine light upon your way.

Somewhere someone's kneeling
To whisper your name in prayer,

Knowing that you need to feel
God's love and tender care.

They intercede on your behalf
Because they love you so,

Knowing that you have a need
To their Father they will go.

They pray when you're not able
To speak a single word,

What peace there is in knowing
Their prayers will be heard.

They lay you on the altar
As they kneel there at His feet,

Giving all your cares to Him
There at the mercy seat.

Our God is always listening
To every earnest prayer,

When we look to Him for help
The answer is always there.

It's such a comfort to know
That someone prays for you,

Placed within His loving hands
Those prayers will see you through.

As you kneel before the Father
Thank Him for those who care,

When you bow before the mercy seat
Whisper their name in prayer.

Then Came The Morning

Great sorrow was felt by Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the many followers of Jesus when He was crucified on the cross. When He died, their hope died.

But by becoming the Lamb of God and shedding His blood for our sins, Jesus paid our debt and made it possible for us to connect with our creator and to have forgiveness of our sins.

Jesus did not stay in the grave. He arose on the third morning and He is alive!

Easter is our promise of eternal life!

Celebrate! Shout for joy!

Please listen to the video, “Then Came The Morning”.

May you have a blessed Easter.

Why Me, Lord?

Do you know why Jesus died for you?

The song in this video asks the question, "Why me, Lord? What did I ever do that was worth loving you or the kindness you showed?"

Do you know that God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

There is no way that you, or any of us, could ever repay Jesus for dying for us in our place, so that we can have eternal life in Heaven and not burn in hell.

God the Father gave His son, Jesus to be the pure sacrificial lamb to suffer sin and every kind of disease in our place.

He did it, because He loves us so much! He desires fellowship with us, His creation, and our love and worship for Him.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

All He asks of you, is to believe in Him and to accept this wonderful gift of His love. When you take that step, you will feel His presence and peace and forgiveness.

You will feel new life and love like you have never known! It is so wonderful, that you will desire to love Him, serve Him and to worship Him.

Try it.

This next week, we celebrate Good Friday and Easter in remembrance of Jesus! It is a great time to experiece the new life that He wants to give you.

He Knows Your Name

I do not know if anyone will read this post. I believe it is the Holy Spirit who gives me the desire to share an inspiring video that I find, and to share some words of encouragement.

Only God knows who you are as you are reading this.

Only He knows if you are someone who grew up in church, but only knew about Jesus and have never had an intimate relationship with Him.

Only He knows if you have no knowledge of Him except for the negative untrue things you hear about Him in our culture today.

Only He knows if you had a close relationship with Him at an earlier time in your life, and then you walked away from Him because of sin.

The reasons you do not know Jesus today, doesn’t matter. He knows the reason. He knows who you are and He knows your name.

God is your creator and He knew you before you were born. He desires to have a personal intimate relationship with you. A relationship of love greater than you have ever known. A relationship of peace, and knowing what your purpose is in life.

God gave each of us a free choice so He will not force Himself on you. It is up to you to make the decision for life, love, peace and joy.

You may say, “I don’t know how.” It is as simple as ABC.

A. Admit you are a sinner.
Ask God’s forgiveness and repent of your sins.

B. Believe in Jesus.
Become a child of God by receiving Christ.

C. Confess that Jesus is your Lord.

“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

I pray that you make a decision for Jesus, and find the true joy of His salvation.

Love and Prayers,
Carolyn
