Jesus Lives in My Heart!

One day I realized I needed more in my life.
I felt lonely and my heart was filled with strife.
I heard a voice whisper softly and say,
You need to be born again today.

First you must learn how to pray,
Asking to be forgiven of all sin.
Then open your heart and let me in,
This is how you are born again.

I knelt down on my knees and began to pray,
And I became a new person that day.
With loving grace He gave my life a new start.
I am never lonely since Jesus lives in my heart.

He gives me strength and courage night and day,
Calling me back to His side if I should stray.
I receive special blessing from Him above,
That brings joy to my heart with His love.

Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God".
John 3:3 NLT

I love this picture showing pure joy on the face of this young lady. Joy that comes only from knowing Jesus and knowing that your sins are completely forgiven.

The poem written by Glenna M. Baugh is beautiful, speaking the words that any one of us could say when we realized our need for Jesus to fill the emptiness in our hearts and lives.

If you have not made that decision yet to accept Jesus and be born again, I pray that you will. He will give you the joy that can't be explained and a love that is pure.

Thank You For The Cross!

The God who created us in His own divine image gave us a capacity to know Him in a personal intimate way.

He created us to have a relationship with Him and to have fellowship with Him. God loved us from the very beginning.

Adam and Eve were given free will and power of choice. When they chose to be disobedient to God, sin entered into their lives and that sin was passed down to all of us.

Because God cannot look on sin, the relationship and connection between man and God was broken, causing us to suffer the consequence of being separated from Him.

For hundreds of years, God required man to sacrifice a spotless lamb for the atonement of his sins, but these offerings were only temporary.

God’s love provided His own Lamb as a permanent, perfect, final sacrifice for all sin, for all men, for all of time.

God’s love was revealed in its greatest magnitude when Jesus, God’s son who was without sin, became our sacrifice by giving His life on the cross.

He suffered beatings and more painful agony than we can ever imagine when He was crucified!

But by becoming the Lamb of God and shedding His blood for our sins, He paid our debt and made it possible for us to connect with our creator and to have forgiveness of our sins.

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit”.
I Peter 3:18

The cross bridged the gap between God and man that was caused by sin.

Jesus was and is the only one who connects us with the living God!

He did not stay in the grave, but arose again on Resurrection morning and continues to be alive today!

I pray that you know this truth and celebrate Easter this month with the hope and joy of knowing that Jesus paid your debt so that you may have forgiveness for your sins and have eternal life.

Happy Easter!

Carolyn

He Loves You and Forgives!

"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him." Luke 15:20

If you are a prodigal reading this post, I want you to know that Jesus loves you more than you can believe.

He is as close as a prayer and will run to you as soon as you turn, coming back to Him.

Even if you are someone who does not know Jesus Christ and has never experienced His love and His awesome presence, He loves you as well and desires for you to accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

There is no experience in this life that can even compare with the joy, hope and love that you will feel when you surrender your life to Jesus and He fills you with His love.

Love and Prayers,
Carolyn
